Asked to promote Nando’s Soho Gallery event, I pitched them the idea of using the then-emerging tech of immersive 360 video, to transport gallery viewers right into the studios of the artists who created the work.
With about 2 days notice, I sent VR director Lester Francois off to ZA make the series. Lester knocked it out of the park, and also helped train the AYS post-production team in 360 video stitching.
The whole project was a mammoth effort by all involved, and the results speak for themselves.
